Why this petition matters

Spa days are when you need some time off from all the hard and stressful work you’ve done during the day. Going to the spa is somehow a most popular trope in cartoons and movies, while anime uses the hot springs as a Japanese culture. Some spa features have facial creaming, cucumbers in the eyes, mud baths, massages, manicures, pedicures, etc. Most of these features listed are mostly for women because they sometimes use the spa as a beauty treatments. Men use the spa just to relieve the stress and pain in their bodies. No matter what the concept, spa days are the only way to let you forget about your worries.

In Minnie’s Bow Toons, a short episode about Minnie’s birthday aired on Disney Junior. Before Minnie goes to her party, Daisy, Clarabelle, and Cuckoo-Loca decide to take her to the spa in order to suppress her excitement on her birthday. The most cartoonish moment in this episode is when the wrapping paper is used as transportation and a cocoon to change into a spa robe. The spa sequence is set in an acid sequence, the most traditional events in Disney musical numbers. Ever since Roadster Racers and Mixed-Up Adventures, there has never been an on-screen spa day sequence in any episode on Disney Junior.

Now that Mickey and Minnie have a vlog show called Me & Mickey, this would be a good opportunity for Minnie to tell us how she spent her spa day in Hot Dog Hills. Preschoolers around the globe might be able to learn about the benefits of being in a spa, even if they haven’t tried it out yet. Minnie could tells us about her spa day by either telling us a story or inviting us to pretend to be in a real spa. Me & Mickey has a way of making edutainment more exciting without anything too cartoonish like the other shows; hopefully, Minnie can make her spy day vlog more soothing and more entertaining than ever.
