Sherine Ebadi
Managing Director, Forensic Investigations and Intelligence / Kroll

Sherine Ebadi is a managing director with the Forensic Investigations and Intelligence practice of Kroll based in the Los Angeles office. She is a fraud and financial investigations expert with more than 15 years of experience leading investigations into fraud, corruption, and workplace misconduct. Prior to joining Kroll, Sherine spent 10 years at the FBI as a Special Agent where she successfully investigated and helped prosecute several high-profile cases involving complex financial crimes, money laundering, bank fraud, securities fraud, public corruption, organized crime, fraud against the government, and asset forfeiture.

Sherine’s responsibilities include interfacing with clients to build bespoke, solution-driven engagements, actively managing investigative teams, directing case strategy, conducting critical and sensitive interviews, analyzing results of data analytics research and forensic accounting to drive investigative leads, preparing client reports, and testifying as an expert witness. Sherine has testified several times in US Federal Court on issues involving fraud and financial crimes. Sherine holds a B.A. (magna cum laude) from the University of California, San Diego in History and is an alumni of the Aspen Institute’s Henry Crown Fellowship Executive Leadership Program. She graduated valedictorian of her FBI Academy class and was awarded the FBI Medal of Excellence, FBI Excellent Performance Award, and multiple U.S. Attorney’s Awards during her career at the FBI. In 2021, Sherine was named to Global Investigation Review’s top 100 Women in Investigations.
