I have waited a few months to review these, because I wanted to see if they actually lasted. I am in a working band. We play one or two nights every weekend. Our gigs are 3-4 hours in length. These mics have been great! They sound great. The range is as good as we need for small to medium stages/clubs. The batteries last 4-5 gigs and warn us before just crapping out, so we have never had a problem in the middle of a song. While we try not to drop our mics, we have and have lost a mic yet. They run on two AA batteries and are quick and easy to change, but a small tool (I use a keychain bottle opener) will be helpful.

The only negative is that the antennas on the system (which I have in a rack case) broke off rather easily. That did not seem to bother the quality or range though. Also, the power module cracked open when I dropped it once. I just taped it up and kept going. All-in-all I have been very happy with this system. I would recommend it highly and I would buy it again.

These mics are excellent! We got the 4 handhelds and they work beautifully. Versatile - use for on stage performance as well as for announcements. Super easy to set up (you do need your own aux cables) and clear range. We use them in a 3000+ sq foot warehouse type setup. The casing is metal which makes them feel nicer and makes the user more aware of the mic and placement. The on-off button is not easily accidentally turned on/off which is a plus. I highly recommend.

FYIs:
1) The info window doesn’t have a battery gauge but will illuminate red when it’s low.
2) You don’t know which mic goes with which channel till it’s out of the box and all powered on. Not a huge deal, but we only wanted to use two mics for its first usage, so it just took a little extra time. It DOES tell you in the info window of the mic which channel and frequency it’s on.
3) There are batteries for mics included!
4) The info window illuminates bright green ALWAYS unless red for low battery or off. Nothing a little gaff tape can’t remedy.

I must admit, when I first purchased the Phenyx Pro Wireless Microphone System, I didn't have particularly high expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised by its performance and features.

Setting up the system was a breeze, thanks to the user-friendly interface and clear instructions. And while there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the misleading window on the microphone, they didn't detract significantly from the overall positive experience.

I knocked off one start because the window on the microphone, which appears to display signal strength and frequency, is deceiving as it's just a sticker. While this doesn't affect the microphone's functionality, it could lead to some confusion for users expecting real-time signal feedback. Just leave that off, I wouldn't expect that from this price point there is no reason to lie to us.

In summary, the Phenyx Pro Wireless Microphone System pleasantly surprised me with its solid performance, durability, and user-friendly design. It's a fantastic option for anyone in need of a multi-channel wireless microphone setup, and I highly recommend giving it a try.

These are very comparable to microphone systems costing three and four times as much... the receiver and mics look nice and work well. Update - still love the mics but after a few months had two stop transmitting audio. (I run karaoke several nights a week so being a mic down is an issue) I invested in the 4 year extended warranty... they sent me a label code via text/email to send through UPS the mics (have to box them myself) expected repaired within 3 days and shipped back to me within 10 days. Because I am using the mics so frequently, I've bought a 2nd set and getting another 4 year warranty. These PTU 5000 4 mic units have same set frequencies, so I can just use 2 of the new mics with my same receiver while my other 2 are repaired with no added installation. For me the investment is well worth it to know I'll have 4 working mics all the time with 4 years of warranty. Having a redundant set is just peace of mind and ability to even setup a 2nd rig if needed.

I bought these for my wife who loves Karaoke, to replace a couple older 2 mic wireless sets that were starting to go out, one by one. These mics feel solid, well built, and not lite and flimsy like our others were. I like that they use the common inexpensive AA batteries, not the more expensive 9 volt battery. The sound is great and you don't have to hold it right against your lips, you can keep it 2 or 3 inches away and have good volume and sound. Each mic has a volume control on the Main Unit which works great if someone is singing off key, you can tone them down a bit and not affect the other mics. We use them in our family room so I can't tell you about distance. Each mic has an off/on switch and each has its own (non-changeable) channel that appears on it's LCD screen, which corresponds with the channel# shown on the LCD screen on the Main Unit, right above the volume control knob. So far, we like this microphone system.
