Great leverless for the price with some caveats.
I saw this model in several YouTube videos and was looking for a small/light leverless controller that I can travel with. For the money, this is an absolutely great deal.If you're on PC, this will work right out of the box for you and you don't need to do much other than update the firmware. If you're buying it for a PS5, just know extra work needs to be done and the adapter is required. I highly recommend joining the Haute42 discord. There are a lot of helpful people and links to get you going. You will want to get an upgraded USB cable, as the one that comes in the box is pretty low quality.For this review. the newest update at this time is 0.7.8 which introduces an option to set a shortcut for the PS5 mode rather than using PS4 and needing to enable the Passthrough. You will still need an adapter to get this to work on a PS5. I use a Brook Wingman FGC, but I hear the Magic Boots works for this as well.I've modified mine with a grip tape on the bottom to keep it from slipping off my legs. If you use it on a desk, you can disregard that. I also updated the switches with Cherry MX Speed Silver with clear GamerFinger caps. There are also artists and print/cut services to get it fully customized to your liking out there as well.As of now, my main issue is the corners are a little sharp and starts to hurt my hand a bit after using it for a while. FocusAttack is a company that has stated they are working on a new beveled top piece to alleviate that. I will be looking into that when it's available.

I always wondered why arcade controllers seemed so expensive when they seem very straightforward to make. Well, this thing blows every other leverless arcade controller out of the water in terms of bang for the buck. While the controller base was smaller than I had expected, the build quality is very solid, and it really has everything you need. SOCD control, customizable button lighting, LED screen that displays useful information (ex. SOCD mode, input mode, button presses), easy access to switch buttons / switches. It is lightweight and compact, can easily carry this around in a small bag if needed.

I am going to stick with haute42 going forward for leverless arcade controllers, already tempted to buy the t16 which is the bigger version.

The weight and travel feels extremely quick while not being so light that resting your fingers will treat you to accidental inputs. I was worried that this would be a cheap scam, but after it came and I felt the buttons, that worry went away. They’re legit premium buttons - only used Sanwa buttons before - but if these are gamer finger buttons, I’ll probably order them for my other stick.
Not clicky, just a soft tapping sound and satisfying travel and feel.
Cons:
Stick is small. I have medium sized hands and it’s just a bit cramped, but nothing I can’t get used too. If you have larger hands, consider getting the bigger version of this if there is an option.
The option buttons on the top right are quite small and don’t feel a little flimsy, but they get the job done.

The G16 has amazing quality & is smaller than I thought (I also use a snackbox micro controller.) You can easily add your own custom art & swap out the buttons which I plan on doing. The button sounds are a lot quieter than a standard mechanical keyboard, & the Home, Back, & Start buttons on top portion of the G16 have a rubbery soft feel which I appreciate (Snack Box Micro Menu buttons have a pretty hard plastic touch to them). For the price, this a must buy for any fighting game fan attempting to make the switch to lever less. I'm primarily playing on PC & I'll be using a brook wingman converter to play on PS5.

This thing is perfect for how little it charges in comparison to other boxes. I was initially worried about the buttons potentially popping off but I haven't had it happen once and despite even intentionally trying to make them pop off with harder presses, they don't. The software for configuring the device is a little wonky to access and utilize, but so long as you follow the documentation and manual it'll be fine. The buttons have a nice clack to them that not everyone may like but I find satisfying. The acrylic cover is sleek but does quickly smear up with your palms resting on it, and the little nubs do gather grime very easily. It's also quite small so forget any lap usage.

Excellent fight stick. I love the compact size - with no actual lever, this doesn't move around in my lap so it doesn't need the size or weight to anchor it.

Note to players who have used all-button controllers for fighting games before, the buttons are quite dissimilar to Sanwa or other arcade replication buttons. These are mechanical keyboard switches and feel like it. The switch motion is linear, resulting in a very smooth keypress, and while it's not clicky it's certainly a different sound to trad arcade buttons.

Configuring the RGB, SOCD and compatability modes is easy and the manual is clear and well translated.

I could see the board being too small for people with really large hands, and could feel cramped, but for me its comfortable with every button and shortcut being easy to reach with little movement.

Amazing value for money!

Va MUY bien, la sensación al pulsar es muy agradable. Los botones tienen una separación muy cómoda. Y aunque cuando lo abrí lo vi chiquito, la verdad es que es justo y suficiente.
Al tener varias capas de metacrilato hace que pese lo suficiente como para que no se mueva nada.
Y puedes personalizar las luces de los botones a placer.
