1.0 out of 5 starsDo NOT get this card!

I just closed my account with Amazon syncrony just a few minutes ago.
The scam? Start with a reasonable credit limit. Pay high interest on card.
Pay it off. They lower your limit. Mine was dropped from a few thousand to just 100.00
Amazon bills you the usual 16.48 and a few odd cents a month for the Prime service and I paid that balance religiously through their app each month.
Tonight, I received an email stating I was delinquent. I was quite puzzled because after all, I had just made a payment of 16.48 I think it was and didn’t think anything of it until I seen what balance was due.
Somehow magically, I now owed 86.00 for the full balance.
The card had been zeroed out, at least I thought anyway with each of my 16.48 monthly reoccurring charges so imagine my shock when I seen the balance that was due for this month being “delinquent”.
The balance due was 75.00 and the full balance was 86.00 so knowing I was being scammed and ripped off by this ridiculous excuse of a financial institution, I paid it off, then requested the card to be closed.
So this card, that now only had a whopping $100 limit to it at this point, and a $16.48 reoccurring charge that was paid religiously each month for Prime, a zero balance because I refused to use it for any purchase other than the re-occuring charge for Prime, somehow amassed a late fee that even the Mafia would not charge.
Yes folks, it is a scam. A scam that prays on people who either have good credit and want to ruin their credit rating, or people with bad credit, who will NEVER climb out of an infinite hole. Period.
They charge outlandish interest fees on top of this absolute sham of a “bank” but compliment this vindictive malfeasance even worse with exorbitant late fees and no matter when you make your payment, it’s going to be late. Just count on that. You could make it one month in advance and guess what? Late. Pay the card off you say? Nope. Interest, late fees and the honor of having this blood sucker in your wallet will rack those charges up nice and fast for you.
Please, do yourself a favor, read the negative reviews on here and take them seriously. I did not. I honestly thought somehow, these are experiences from people who cannot manage their money. Probably people who are living beyond their means and cannot make prompt payments or simply dont care and the bank made them care.
Sadly, that is not the case and I implore you all to simply ignore this travesty of “financial freedom” and look elsewhere. This bank is simply out to take your money and penalize you for even trying to be responsible.
