Sets off the smoke detector

I washed this (the red silicone piece) with soap and water and dried it before use. Within 5 minutes of being in my air fryer by itself at 400F, it set off the nearest smoke detector (which is not even in the same room). There was no visible smoke and only a faint odor, but this makes me wonder what chemicals are in this mat that are being released with the heat. I have heated other silicone bakeware and never experienced this. This to me seems like a big red flag. I used it a 2nd time after this and it took longer to set off the smoke detector, so maybe I can bake whatever this is out of it... but I'm still somewhat concerned and debating on whether I want to keep using this or not.

I also don't like the other two pieces with this. They seem useless, low-quality, and a waste of material. Would have been better if they had a cheaper option that was just a red piece or if they had included another red piece instead of the other pieces. I also wish they had a 9.5in x 9.5in size, as 9in is a little small but 10in would be too big for my 8qt Bella air fryer.

Edit: I added a star because the company contacted me about the issue and demonstrated good customer service.

These air fryer mats were the only 9 inch square ones I could find. I had to trim the corners slightly with scissors to fit my Gourmia, no big deal. Another reviewer said the raised dots made it hard to clean them. Just soak for a minute before cleaning and use a toothbrush if necessary. I am so happy that I bought these because they are far superior to paper liners.

I use the red silicone mat pretty much every time I use my Instant Vortex air fryer. It fits well and makes cleanup much easier. However it does sometimes need a bit of scrubbing to get it completely clean. The bumps on the liner do sometimes leave little divots in softer foods but this is purely cosmetic and doesn't bother me very much. I have not used the other two liners yet, but they seem like they are good quality as well.

Easy to insert, but can be tricky to remove without dripping. The mesh and solid sheets are very light, so best to only use when food placed on them, and not on their own during preheat. Silicon mat can be a little annoying to clean small flecks, so may require soaking. Overall, very useful in keeping the bottom of the drawer clean and easier to clean
