I loved the story and the characters but the complete almost lose over what was going on was bad at first but as every volume has gone by I've understood more and more about the story. And now I not only love it but to have some straight lines drawn, so to speak, was great. To see ok this is what's going on, this is who's who, this is where all this has been going and I'm assuming who the 5 people they need are gonna be. Like everything was put together which is why I love the covers cause it's like a puzzle each sorry and when you finish a corner or something and see something come together for the 1st time it's awesome and I love that the covers are puzzle pieces. I can't wait to continue the great story with great characters and great artwork now in volume 5.

I take this one slow, going frame by frame and try to always read it in the dark as the author intended. Every volume is better than the last. Its been well worth the time and money and I wish I could say all of my reading was this great.

Main character wears face mask to prevent evil cockroaches from entering his airways. Maybe if Covid was an evil cockroach, more people would wear a mask

Series Info/Source: This is the fourth volume in the Gideon Falls graphic novel series; there are 6 volumes in this series. I bought a copy of this book.

Thoughts: This is the volume where the craziness starts to come together. True evil is visited upon the small town Gideon Falls where Norton and Clara are trapped. The Ploughman group is forced into action to stop the developing evil.

Meanwhile, Father Fred and Angie finally come face to face with the Bishop and learn about the Pentoculus. The two are sent on a mind boggling journey to the center where they must try to stop the evil once and for all. The graphic novel alternates back and forth between these two different storylines.

I continue to really like the way this series is laid out panel-wise and really enjoy how the story is coming together. I am super excited to see how things roll out in the last two volumes. I will say that this volume was just a bit slower than previous ones and the panel layouts weren’t quite as unique and interesting.

My Summary (4/5): Overall this was another very good installment in the Gideon Falls series. I love how the story is coming together. However, I do feel like this volume moved a bit slower than previous ones and thought that the panel layout wasn’t as creative. I am still very eager to see how things continue in volumes 5 and 6.

Honestly Gideon Falls reminds me of the movie Tenet which I just watched yesterday for the first time, it doesn’t make much sense to me and I’m lost a lot of the time, but boy how, is it a really fun ride along the way!

Judged by the standard of comics this is 3.5/4 stars.

Judged by the standards of a sci-fi original series plotline it's two stars.

Either way, my (recommend/condem)-nation is lukewarm.

I pre-ordered this last year. I received it on August 1, 2020. I just got around to reading it and volume 21 is missing most of the dialogue bubbles. I thought these were supposed to have been destroyed? How do I go about getting a corrected version. I'm not buying it twice.

Update. Looks like Amazon have rightly stopped stocking this. I’ve upgraded my rating based on my assumption that it will sell an edition with full dialogue in the future.

Great series, but this edition has a printing error that means that final chapter is missing lettering. I believe that a corrected edition will be published July 22. Amazon should not be selling this now!

5.0 out of 5 stars The misprint HAS BEEN FIXED and is in stock!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 10, 2020
As of 10th September, after returning 2(!) copies to get replacements, both of which still had the misprint, I waited until September to get the final replacement and thankfully THIS one is the updated fixed version with the print showing on the final chapter.

Excellent series as always!
