Just over two years of use as a chef. The silicone bit held up great. I used them to cook all sorts of ramen/soba/udon in a wok, to pick stuff out of the oven (>400 degrees F), flip meats on the gas grill, even to pick up things out of the deep fryer (soybean oil, ~450 degrees F, but not deeper than the silicone parts). They also worked great for the delicate and artful plating of sushi and other dishes. I only got them because my mother "borrowed" my bamboo ones and managed to burn them, but they worked so well I'm never going back to bamboo/wood, these were better at resisting heat and not conducting the heat to the hands. The plastic parts however, are not durable. A small speck of hot oil got on them and quickly melted it. Only just now replacing them after 2 years because I lost them during moving.

Exactly what I was looking for! I had seen videos of japanese chefs using chopsticks while cooking and I had dabbled myself with cheap chopsticks at home. I think they are a great multipurpose tool when cooking. My wooden chopsticks unfortunately were not made to withstand high temperatures, BUT these can take any kind of heat!

They are a good length for keeping your hands away from the heat and oil splatter. They are very easy to clean as well.

I was tempted to buy a different item that had 3 different sizes of bamboo choptsticks..but im very happy that I chose these well made long chopsticks instead.
