Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Just as the title states, I was extremely dismayed when I finally got these bad boys and realized they do NOT carry in in-line mic signal. This means if you’re using it for iPod headphones (or similarly mic’d headphones) or, in my case, a call center headset, you’ll ONLY be able to hear audio. As an audio engineering student I’m embarrassed that I didn’t catch this just from the photo (though it’s not explicitly stated anywhere on the product page). These are TRS connectors (tip, ring, sleeve) which is only enough connections to carry audio. The modern standard is TRRS, with the extra ring allowing for a mic signal to be carried as well.As far as length, I was a little disappointed. They’re less than three feet each. But there’s two in the pack so that wasn’t a major flaw, and the length is mentioned on the product specs (albeit that info is fairly hard to find).I can’t speak to the durability of the product as I will not be able to use these for my intended purpose, or any purpose I can think of.
