I've been a Bill Maher fan for decades, from his stand up comic days to D.C. CAB to Politically Incorrect to Real Time with Bill Maher. I've enjoyed his past books as well, and this one was no different. It was a fantastic insights given on many of the issues that are at play in this current age and state of affairs and he pulls no punches. Well, maybe some, but I'll get to that in a bit.

WHAT WORKED IN THE BOOK- if you are "into the present" at the time of the books publishing, then you will have a good snapshot at where we are "At That Moment" as far as issues go, both culturally, socially, and politically. The insights he espouses are what we are going thru in the spring of 2024, and they are wide ranging and will have things you may agree with, things you may not agree with, but 100% are Bill's honest opinions and insights and you should all respect where he is coming from.

WHAT I THINK HE MISSED ON- It seems that most of his thoughts he shared were of about the past ten years, things that have popped up, and to be honest, I think there were things he said both on POLITICALLY INCORRECT and on REAL TIME in the 2000's that would resonate really well on issues that he tried to make a point on. For example, he has a section in the new book about government corruption by the powers that be, the lobbyists and such going on it the year 2024. True, to be sure. I think he should have included his 2009 opinion, where he made the "Obama Needs To Be Like George Bush", which was shocking at the time in 2009 to hear, but when one considers how much the lobbyists affected even the Affordable Care Act, would actually resonate really well.

WHERE I THINK HE DROPPED THE BALL- I think he should have opened up this new book with his very well stated pre-election day 2016 statement about how he lamented how he had engaged in demagoguery of people like McCain, Romney and even Bush and how even though he thoroughly opposed their politics, how they were honorable men and used that to contrast Trump's then candidacy. I think that would have been a perfect lead-off of this book, especially considering how much of it was written in that light of things. There were a lot of things that Bill said in the 2000's and early 2010's that I think did not get said in this book that would really resonate but he chose to go with the ones that were done post-2016 presidency.

Bill Maher rocks and this book is awesome, It will definitely exercise your brain! Must Read!
