The good:  I loved this unit right out of the box.  The receiver is well built and well designed.  the frequency scanning and programming of mic frequencies is great. I bought a hand mic to have options and it programmed right up and works great.

The bad:  the body packs are noisy, staticky, and voice and sound quality is wavery and choppy.  I ended up making a video of this at the request of phenyx support and sent it to them.  I just sent it and am awaiting their response.  I think the issue is a design issue where the bodypack transmitter is interfering with the microphone wiring and circuit due to lack of shielding.  if you move the wire closer and farther from the bodypack antenna, the static gets louder when closer and quieter (but not gone) when farther from the antenna.  Even with the mic wire as far away from the antenna as possible, the sound quality was unacceptable to me.

I will wait and see what phenyx says before returing this in case they can send me redesigned packs or shielded mic cable that might fix the issue. This issue ruins an otherwise great product.

update 5/3/2021 no response from Phenyx support yet. I went to a music store and tried a $99 lavalier microphone element with the body pack instead of the phenyx supplied lavalier and the static and wavery sound was gone but the volume was drastically reduced down in to the white noise of the preamp on the bodypack so throwing $100 per bodypack still doesn't make it usable. We detremined the impedance of the phenyx mike as nearing a megohm where normal mics are 600 to serveral kohm. The high impedance makes it susceptible to noise and the bodypack is apparently unable to fucntion well with low impeadance mic. I'll wait a couple more days for support to answer....

update 5/6/2021 adding to star rating. Phenyx support sent a refund directly so I could send the unit direct to them for testing. They seemed genuinely interested in fixing the issue. I decided against a replacement unit because i was up against a deadline for a gig that I needed equipment right away so had to get a different product.
