The sound is definitely improved, plosives are not a problem anymore for me. If you get a "dead cat" or furry windscreen to put over this it works even better than either product alone at removing some of those unwanted sounds your mouth makes when speaking in an indoor environment. Getting 5 in a pack for this price is great deal, will last me forever.
Oddly the smell is like a nice faint lavender smell, not enough to smell unless you put it against your nose and take a big inhale. Way better than most chemical smells from this sort of foam.
They're compressed pretty small for shipping, but bounce back quickly. Ive included a standard Bic lighter in some of the pictures for a size comparison. Within 10 mins they puff back up to full fize or close to it. Fits well on the mic, very snug, but didnt rip or tear at all as I pulled it off and back on a few times.
