Dying is Easy Kindle & comiXology

Comedy is hard... but dying is easy! From New York Times bestselling author Joe Hill (LOCKE & KEY, NOS4A2) comes this new graphic novel mystery. Meet Syd "Sh*t-Talk" Homes, a disgraced ex-cop turned bitter stand-up comic turned wanted killer! Syd's rival Carl Dixon is on the verge of comedy superstardom and he got there the dirty way: by stealing jokes. He's got a killer act, an ugly past, and more enemies than punch-lines. When he turns up dead, Syd is on the top of the suspect list... he had motive, he was the last man to see Dixon alive, and he had already named his price for taking Dixon out. Syd isn't guilty of anything but bad jokes but now he's on the run, and it'll take all of his investigative chops to nail the real killer, before the cops nail him.

A Dark & Bawdy Murder Mystery!
Dying is Easy by Joe Hill & Martin Simmonds is a bawdy crime thriller packed with dark humor, action, and blood.I couldn't figure out the case at all on my own, but I would love to hear if other readers put the puzzle pieces together on their own before the big reveal! If dark humor and gritty crime trillers are your jam, then this is some I would highly recommend to you!

A very good and amusing murder mystery. It's nice to read a comic with adult language that isn't censored. Very well told.

Main character reads like Joe Friday. The killer changes a comical number of times, but I wouldn't mind seeing as a Netflix series

I'm a big fan of Ed Brubaker's crime graphic novels, and I'm a big Joe Hill fan so I was excited to see he did something that seemed to be along those lines, but it falls a bit flat. It's hard to put my finger on exactly why, but the broad complaint is that he story just wasn't all that exciting and none of the characters were too interesting or even likeable for that matter which made it hard to care about anything going on.

This is a really great read. Wonderful murder mystery in a noir style without being campy. Had me guessing til the end.

This book is a decent quick read if you already like Joe Hill. Less of a horror book and more of an action mystery thing. The writing is decent, seems like Hill gave thought to how comedians talk to each other. The art is solid too. Doesn’t take very long to run through this entire book but I enjoyed the read

The manga/ comic book medium draws a different group of readers than a typical book. It introduces a new audience to the wonder of Joe Hill's library of titles. I've had more enjoyable experiences with his books but I'm not the target audience so.....I had a group of teens and teens review this title and they gave it a unanimous 5.

I really liked this, I really didn't know what to expect but this was like a dark comedy Agatha Christie style twists. This was wild and I hope to see more of Syd!

Also I must say the illustrations in this are stunning!
