Thick, well crafted glove that fits well. Like any leather item, i expected it to be somewhat still at the beginning, and it had a slightly faded look. A coat of mink oil brighten the leather and began the process of softening and curing the leather. Currently working it like a baseball glove, the more it is bent and manipulated, the softer and more pliable the leather will become. This is going to last forever, and will become more comfortable over time. Very pleased with the purchase

Would take your Leather Glove over a Silicone Glove any day. I have had pans of food turn in my hand while using a silicone glove. There is no slippage at all when I have used your leather hot pads or leather glove. I will continue to purchase your products for myself and for friends and family. I need to check out more of what you make! I am so impressed so far with your pads and mitts. I can not see them wear out in my lifetime. One “huge” size does not fit all. To complicate the usage of this oven mitt is an extreme stiffness that makes this glove impossible to properly grasp things. Dangerous issue. Since we are past the return point. I tried to salvage this expensive nightmare. I took out the seams and also noted an odd lining that was already deteriorating. So I removed it. That’s when the leather slightly softened. But even after reducing the size I found the seams so stiff that it was unusable. So very disappointed at the poor use of good leather material and my money. If a “no-lined” leather was pre-softened then stitched together according to large, medium and small size. Then this product could be much better. Granted it would not be as heat resistant, but still enough.

Beautifully sturdy. For me, the thumb placement was awkward, and the thumb space too narrow for an oven mitt. This was true for my small woman hands, and for my husband's large hands.
I'm a huge Hide and Drink fan, all their products are wonderful. In this case, the thumb would probably be ok once the mitt is broken in or softened up a bit.
