One of the main complaints about this mouse you will read, is that the charging port is on the bottom of the mouse therefore making it unusable while being charged. For anyone concerned about this, it is a complete non-issue. First off, the battery life is excellent. After over a month of fairly heavy, daily use, my mouse 's battery is at 69% as I type this. However, the most important feature in terms of the battery and charging is that this mouse has a quick charge feature. In just two minutes charging time, the mouse will have enough battery life to last 8 hours. That's less time then it takes to get up and go to the restroom, or to get a glass of water. To see your current battery life in OS X, click the bluetooth symbol on the menu bar, select your Mouse, and the current battery strength percentage will be displayed. I would much rather have the rechargeable battery than to have to by batteries for my mouse.
The tracking on a variety of surfaces works excellent. I currently use my mouse on a black wooden desktop with no mouse pad, and it glides smoothly and tracks smoothly as well. It also works nicely on my tan couch, on my pants legs, and a leather ottoman.
The "clicking" is positive and provides good feedback. Tapping on the surface instead of using a "full click" also works very well.
There are a number of settings you change for the mouse in the OS X Settings. For example, I have the touch surface set to Zoom In on whatever I am viewing if I double tap the right side of the touch surface, which is great when reading the news (or reviews). Zoom out by double tapping again.
The mouse comes packaged in typical apple fashion, in a nice compact box. The mouse comes with a brief getting started manual, a lighting charging cord, and two apple stickers.

The Pros:
- Easy to pair and charge - just plug in to your laptop until it connects and then unplug. Simple.
- Stylish form factor - This thing just looks cool sitting on my desk.
- Gestures - I'm still getting used to the gestures, but I can see how they will be useful when using full-screen apps or when working/browsing the internet.
- Battery - The battery on this thing lasts forever. I charged it a few days ago and despite using it regularly, it is still at 95% charge.
The cons:
- Ergonomically, this is not the easiest mouse to use. If you have Carpal Tunnel or other issues with your wrist and hands, then pick something else. For me, it works great, but I can see how someone with arthritis or other conditions might have trouble with it.
- Accuracy - this is the one area that I expected to be better than it actually is. Accuracy is fine overall, but pin-point precision is not something you can do in a hurry. For example, if I want to use the radio buttons on Safari, I have to make an effort to get the pointer just right in order to do so. This is with my mouse settings turned all the way up as fast as the pointer will go. Maybe that is a factor or maybe not. I also would not count on this mouse for the precision needed when gaming.
- Cost - It was 70$. I think you can get similar mice for less, and many may actually have better performance, but for me, I like the Apple aesthetic so it is worth the cost.
As I said, overall, this mouse provides an excellent computer experience, decent pointer precision, a cool corm-factor, and the gestures are really simple to learn and use in order to streamline your work. If you're on the fence and don't mind the cons listed above, I think you'll be very happy purchasing this mouse.
