I think it’s important to note that I haven’t read an entire book in YEARS! I used to love reading! After having kids, I found it hard to find time to pick up a book and when I did have time, I couldn’t find a book that had me engaged enough to be able to pick it back up again when I found another window of opportunity. Thank you Freida McFadden for writing the way you do and reminding me why I love reading so much! This was my first book to finish! I finished it in 4 days (would have been sooner but we had a birthday party one of those days). So I just ordered The Housemaid series!!!! I CANT WAIT!!!!

Not my favorite Freida McFadden book. Too many things that happened in the story could never happen. Too far fetched.
Brooke was present when some murders happened when she was 17. Her boyfriend at the time was convicted. Fast forward 10 years and she is a nurse practitioner at…. The prison her former boyfriend is being held for those murders 10 years before. The prison HR department was too busy or to uncaring to do any background checks on Brooke. So now she is working in the prison where her ex boyfriend is housed on HER testimony and no one thinks to dive just a little in to her background? There weren’t Eros other inconsistencies but that was the main one. I will say typical of Freida McFadden’s books there were some twists and turns and the last chapter was a doozy!
