Millie Fleur is a unique little girl with a unique garden. She has moved into a new town that really prides itself on its normalcy and sameness. By the end of the story, she has her classmates and the town on their way to embracing their uniqueness. This story is told not only through words but also through illustrations that will have you pausing for an extra look through all of the little details. It is a wonderful story about acceptance and friendship and even gardening. I highly recommend this book for readers young and old. I will be buying multiple copies. I hope we get to see more of Millie Fleur in the future!

There aren’t enough stars in the world for Millie Fleur’s Poison Garden! This picture book is SO creative, has a gorgeous color palette and illustrations, and is the perfect mix of humor and heart. I’ve read it about 20 times in the last week (my toddler adores it just as much as I do!) and I’ve yet to grow sick of it. In fact, the opposite is true. With each new read, we love it more and more! Can’t wait for the next book to see what Millie Fleur is up to next!

When Millie and her mother move to picture-perfect Garden Glen, Millie’s flower beds of strange and exotic plants do not fit in. Despite her neighbor’s grumblings, Millie shares her beloved flora and fauna with others and helps the community find the joy in being wonderfully weird

My kids loved pouring through the illustrations filled with lots of fun details.
