From the creator of Jurassic Park and ER

For American radiologist Peter Ross, it sounded like the perfect vacation: deliver one study in Spain and then spend the rest of his time on a Mediterranean beach. But he wasn't planning on meeting Angela Locke, a dark-haired beauty with a big problem--she's on the run from two warring gangs, each dead set on finding a mysterious artifact, and they'll kill anyone who stands in their way.

It's a desperate fight for survival across the European continent as Peter and Angela race to uncover a centuries-old secret before they become its next victim.

With a new introduction by Sherri Crichton

This was a nonstop twister ride in Spain. Old man telling his Grandson the story of what happen to him as a young doctor from America on vacation in Spain. That's all I'm giving away, give it a go you'll be glad you did !

It has all the great elements of Mr. Chrichtons novels but this shows his innocence of a younger age. Fun to read though.

It’s a nice break from Crichton’s more scientific themes.

It's Michael Chrichton! Albeit, a younger, less sophisticated Michael Chrichton; nevertheless, even back then, his writing was well researched and medical terminology and activities are accurate (or at least, they seem accurate to me) and up to date for the era the work was written. I enjoy everything he writes, some more than others, but it's all worth reading.

The man who had no vocal cords could hum and later talk. Ugggg. Not sure how that happened. This book is not written as well as Crichton’s others. While entertaining, it it a complete work of fantasy.

3.0 out of 5 stars John Lange ist Michael Crichton!
Reviewed in Germany on April 28, 2009

Note: 2- (Mit viel Wohlwollen)

4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely a page turner!
Reviewed in Canada on August 5, 2017
I just finished reading this novel. I throughly enjoyed it. Not only did I find the story interesting and easy to follow, it had that classic Michael Crichton "pull" to it (kept you wanting to read on). This was a well written novel, albeit a short one by Crichton's standards. Definitely would recommend this to someone else!
