    I was told by my pulmonologist to buy some hepa air purifiers for my allergies and asthma. While researching those I came across a review where the commenter mentioned she bought an AQI to test if the air purifier works well. Now I never heard of something like this existing - I thought you would have to hire a specialist to come out and test for things like this with expensive professional equipment. If I had known about an AQI before I would have bought one ages ago.I've seen a lot of criticism about the battery life, but there are actually 4 settings. When I first got the device I put it on the R setting (test every 2 seconds) and walked around each room of my apartment to see what the air quality actually is. This setting uses the most battery power and I don't like it because the numbers swing wildly and it's confusing. I tested out other settings as well and decided to keep it at A. While on A the AQI remains fairly stable. I recieved my device almost a week ago and the battery is at the halfway point.How do I know this device is accurate? The AQI remains mostly in the single digits, but when I light a cigarette the device can go as high as 80. I was shocked, I had no idea it was that bad. This gives me something to think about......One last thing - my car A.C. is running cool not cold like it should. I already took it back to the mechanic twice after paying 2k for a total rehaul. The mechanic insisted, on my 3rd visit, they tested the temp of air coming out of vents at 48 degrees. I knew this wasn't right at all because I'm sweating like crazy. One day I had to run errands in diff parts of town. I bright this monitor and put it on the console tray which is right above knee level. The kickstand included was so helpful! I drove to 4 places in 3 hours, about 60 miles altogether. After each stop i took a photo of the reading (please note AQI is higher in 2nd photo because I smoked with the window cracked). The interior temp of my car never went below 90 (live in Arizona) and I plan to take my evidence back to The mechanic to prove they didn't do it right the first 3 times. Thank your for creating such a useful device at a great price!

    This low-cost monitor has performed very well. I compared it to the readings from a PurpleAir monitor and it matched exactly over a range of 3 to 180 AQI. Since it's portable, I can take it with me wherever I go. To school, to the library, to work, in the car and at home of course. PM 2.5 air pollution can be very damaging to the brain and overall health. During this time of rising temperatures and numerous wildfires it's important to be aware of the air we are breathing.

    Seems to be a pretty reasonable air quality meter for the money. Readings were very helpful to discover the air quality was poor in my room initially. I bought a HEPA air purifier and the readings improved significantly. This meter is very sensitive to small changes and responds significantly when I smell smoke outside in my neighborhood from fireplaces, etc. The Temp. and Humidity readings are a little off from calibrated instruments, but are still useful for monitoring relative changes. I tried it at a neighbor's house and quality wasn't the best initially, but improved significantly soon after we installed a new central HVAC filter. I'm glad i bought this unit. I was having trouble sleeping at night before and cleaning up the air quality in my room has improved my sleep significantly.

    I suffer from acute sinusitis and allergies. This season in Texas has been especially bad, and I felt that I was not feeling any better when indoors, even after taking allergy tablets. I wanted to make sure that my home was not actually making the symptoms any worse so decided to check by purchasing an air monitor. This one had good reviews and was reasonably priced. It arrived quickly and took minutes to set up right out of the box. I also like the stand that came with it and the fact it has a magnetic back, so it can be placed on a fridge or filing cabinet if needed. I wanted something easy and simple to read, and this has just what I needed, temp, humidity, air quality index and particle measurements. Within a few days I had readings for all major rooms, and fortunately all were good. It was comforting to know that the air inside my house was good and not making the symptoms worse. A great little unit.

    I tested with the smoke from a candle. Moved it around the house to test the quality of the air. Watched a couple reviews online. The battery lasts a long time. The charging cable makes it so you don’t have to replace batteries. No complaints. Happy with the purchase.

    Seems to work well most of the time. I got it to monitor air quality due to our wood stove. Numbers were consitently high, and were lower after buying fan air filter. I also tested it by putting it in other rooms away from the stove and outside.

    Still, on occasion it seems inaccurate. Ive seen it skyrocket for what seems to be no good reason.

    Worthless. Tried this in a small room with the cat litter box and the air purifier turned on. Left it for several hours. Then turned the air purifier off and the monitor #s doubled. So my first thought was that it worked. Then left it in another room with a cat litter box overnight (no air purifier). Now it's frozen on .1 and 1. Either it's broken or the room with the 2nd cat litter box has the best air in the apartment. In either case it's going back today.
