    I use this mic in my project studio for adlibs & vocal drops. It's industry standard stage mic as well. It's hard to think of a mic that comes close for the price. I make music for a living i take my gear seriously. Just buy one, if your thinking of getting a buget mic but really want/need quality vocals just save up for this instead you'll be glad you didn. I've been using these since the mid 90s. The microphone won a TEC Award in 1996 for outstanding microphone technology & has been trusted by professionals ever since.- i have over 25 years of experience as a Beat Maker/Producer/Engineer/DJ & Sound Designer. I've used some of the best mics in the world i know a good mic when i hear one. This is a good mic.

Be patient and hear me out. Let me explain. First, I cannot sing into a pair of earbuds. They still sound good but they don't feel right. A handheld or standup mic is always the way to go. Now, in order to use these apps you have to have an earbud or wired headphones so you can hear the music. You can't really plug into an external speaker and listen to the music while singing into the app with standard headphones or mics.. Doing so will cause severe sound distortion as the mic picks up sound coming from the external speakers which then gets picked up by the mic and then then gets transmitted back to speakers again, which the mic then picks up again. It's a continuing cycle of snowballing distortion. However, there are times I WANT to use an external speaker so that I can use the app to perform as if it were a stand alone karaoke machine. This IS the only mic (of this acoustic and build quality) that allows me to that. Why? Because it does a very good job of only picking up your voice coming out of your mouth. You can increase the volume of the external speakers to a reasonably high volume and the mic won't pick it up. There is hardly any distortion depending on how loud the external speaker is. I initially got the SM58 but it was a little to muddled and bassy for my voice type so I returned it for this based on reviews. I don't regret it...pricey yes, but it's a long term investment which will gives many years of pleasure and satisfaction as it beats the SM 58 in sound quality and external sound isolation. You can hear and assess the sound quality of this mic for yourself, utilizing the aforementioned setup with no headphones, using an external speaker/monitor only, by listening to some of the songs I've done using this mic on Smule Sing karaoke app profile name @RichPaterno. You can also just go the Smule.com website and search for my profile name and click on the MOST RECENT videos tab where I have used this mic. It has the most gorgeous sound OMG!

    I am not an expert, so I am not sure if this is a very high quality fake or a genuine beta 58A. However, I did have an SE V7 and Sennheiser e945, and this matches in terms of sound quality. Hence I am pretty sure is the real one. I really like the in house Shure tuning that makes the voice much warmer. It hides a lot of defects while singing high notes, but does not affect vocal clarity that much. Defiantly recommend for people that has sharp highs.
