This products definitely trounces Sony's own charging station with the inclusion of the headset stand. Not only that, you the magnets are about 15-20% stronger than Sony's own solution. Furthermore, you can actually see when the VR Controllers are connected, where Sony's solution is not as easily determined if your controllers are being charged. The problem is the collective mind's charging station. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but look at it. It's small, sleek, and you don't require a USB power adapter to plug it into the wall (Unless you have a USB receptacle)This isn't bad, and is definitely better than Sony's solution. Make sure you have USB-A Wall Plug (which most of us do). I just like the compactness of the Collective Minds "PSVR Showcase" and the minimalist lighting indicate charging status. For me, my money is on the collective mind's PSVR Showcase.1 thing is for sure: Don't waste 50.00 on the Sony Official PSVR2 Charging Station.

I bought this looking for a way to charge my PSVR2 controllers, but also to store and display the headset itself. This dock is exactly what i was looking for. Its sturdy and well made, easy to put together (just 2 parts, and the 2 magnetic charger adapters for the controllers) and has a really nice lighting feature. If the controllers are charging it is yellow, and blue when fully charged. The light is extremely bright, but can be turned off with the convenient touch control.

Great value, great product, highly recommended.

The PSVR 2 charging station is good. I would recommend.

RANT

For the PSVR2 itself, the VR looks great but the way they (PlayStation) designed it and made it impossible to replace the cord on your own is criminal.
They purposely made the cord impossible to be replaced by the customer so you’ll have to send the headset to them for them to replace it and it cost half of what the headset cost to buy.
I truly believe the government should investigate because it’s criminal.
Even though the VR looks great it’s not worth buying.

Luckily I was able to purchase the part separately at my own expense and it resolved the issue. I like the unit and it now works as it should’ve upon its arrival, albeit for an extra $5.

I originally purchased the Sony PSVR2 dock, and that left a lot to be desired.

This one not only has the magnetic charging dock for the controllers, it also has a stand for the headset, which makes it a great display stand. Light on the dock show when controllers are charging and fully charged. Highly recommend it over the Sony branded controller dock.

Bought on December of 2023 and unit would not charge. returned that one and had another shipped and arrived in January. It has been 4 months and now the unit wont charge again. The charging lights just stay blue. Take one of the handsets off and the light will turn amber indicating that it is charging. Put the other handset on and both the lights turn blue indicating that they are charged when in fact they are not.. Very poor product and would advise to spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Definitely not worth time time or headache.

This works most of the time. The controllers don't easily click into place, and it's hard to tell if they're actually charging or not. Each side is supposed to light up (amber when charging, blue when charged), but they usually don't turn amber and just turn blue or don't light up at all, even if they charge.

I've only once in a few months had one controller be dead when I went to play, so it hasn't been a huge problem.
