I was a little let down when I received this pack which was vacuum sealed in a plastic bag. My first impression was that they felt thin and flimsy with obvious misshaping and creases.

Another reviewer here pointed out that they should be soaked in water to return to their original shape. I can attest: this is a necessary step! Run them under water for a bit and you will feel them expand like a sponge. Place them to air dry over night and voila! High quality foam screens that fit perfectly on the grille of an SM58!

At first, I thought they were too small because the opening would not fit the head of my microphone. They were so cheap it was not worth it to drive to UPS to return them. Then I really pulled on the opening and forced the microphone in and the microphone went in without ripping the cover. The cover barely covers the head of the microphone, but it serves its purpose. My microphone is just a standard size microphone for karaoke.
