$180 is a lot of money for 4 microphones and a receiver. However, this one exudes quality, and works well, and thus is worth that. First of all, the mics are not cheap lightweight ones. They are not too heavy, but not so light they feel too cheap. They are not metal, but plastic. That does take away from the quality aspect a little, but they work so well I don't want to ding them a star for that. The quad receiver box is all metal. Again, the look and feel exudes quality. This couldn't be any easier to set up. You simply plug it in to AC power, turn on the mics, plug the receiver into an amp and you're in business. If there is interference you can change to any one of four frequencies. They advertise this being able to reach out 240ft! I haven't tried it that far, but it did easily go 180ft from the end of my yard into the second story electronics bench where I have the receiver temporarily to test it. Of course there is a mute button on each mic. I will use this at our annual Thanksgiving get together every Fall. We usually have at least 75. I'll be putting a mic at every other table. As we go from table to table and folks fill us all in on their last year nobody has to leave their seat and everybody can hear. This works great! I give it five stars and definitely recommend.

I bought a couple of JBL 320 speakers for a karaoke set-up and a pair of their matching mikes. Their mikes were to sensitive and made a lot of noise just holding them. So I read a lot of reviews and decided to give these a try and I was pleasantly surprised Everything was well packaged and its shipping case was well suited to use for a storage case as well with everything nicely protected in its fitted foam inserts.
After unpacking everything, I just had to attach the two antennas, plug the power cord into the base station and insert two batteries (included) into each mike. Then you just plug the power adapter onto a wall outlet, turn on the base unit by the marked power button and then turn on each mike by their small marked power buttons. Each mike lights up showing a different frequency which is immediately recognized by the base station. There's four meters on the station with each one displaying the frequency of one mike. There's a small rotary button beside each display that adjusts the volume of that particular mike. The frequency on each mike can be changed by the push of a button on the mike. These mikes have flat area on the collar of each one to prevent them from rolling when laid down - a simple but nice touch missing from my other mikes. These mikes sound great, block out a lot of background noise as you must speak/sing directly into them and, most importantly, there's very little noise generated from the movement of your hand on the mike's handle or from setting them down when finished with them. There is also a mike cord included with std 1/4" male plugs on each end and an adapter so one end can be reduced to a std 3.5mm male plug. There's a 12 month warranty with lifetime support.
At this price point I don't think you can find any better - I highly recommend this kit. Just have to wait now and see how it holds up with usage over time.
I do have one minor complaint: for such a well built kit they only give you eight heavy duty batteries for the mikes. For a small amount more they should have at least been alkaline. I'll probably opt for rechargeable ones if they will hold up to at least 8 hours of straight use after I test at least one pair.

This is a fun microphone set, whether you use it for talking and announcements, singing or karaoke. Everything is pretty solid and feels built well enough to last quite a lot of use, and began to work with minimal setup. Setting this up is very straightforward, even if you're very new to microphones, and it seems you can easily add more sets should you need it. The four microphones this comes with set up easily, and I really like they're color coordinated at the bottom to avoid confusion. Sound quality is good enough to use for most public talking. It's not the clearest in the world, but decent enough to make out any announcement or song. And it can get quite loud. For ease of use in many versatile situations, this is a good set.

This set is so quick and easy to set up that you will not regret the purchase! The sound quality is great so it makes it easy to understand what is being said. I think we have the most fun with them singing karaoke! Our family has gotten so big that we rent a community hall to hold our celebrations. I’m going to take these and we will have a blast! Singing songs together is always fun! They are a great value for the money and their performance and quality of sound will make it even more enjoyable.

This microphone system is excellent for the price. It plugged right in, and worked. Changing the frequencies wasn't super intuitive at first, but I figured it out. The sound quality is just okay. Not terrible, but if you're looking for super clear vocals, probably look elsewhere. This would be great for an inexpensive karaoke setup or speaking setup. Don't expect professional quality from this setup.

If you need a four mic setup on a budget, this could be a great option. The build quality isn't amazing but the mics themselves perform better than expected. Sound is clear for voices but these aren't really up to the level of full range instrument pick up.

There are a lot of mic kits around with varying levels of quality and features. This is one of the better ones I've seen. Quality is very good, both the build and the sound. Setup is simple, and the most important feature present is the ability to change frequencies on the mics if you encounter some interference. The majority of the cheaper mic sets don't have this feature.

The one thing I didn't care for, was the fact all mics are powered by AA batteries. So you'll need an 8 pack to "freshen up" all the batteries in the mics. You won't want to forget that on event day, so make sure you purchase extra and have them on hand. At the end of the day, I can't help but wish they mics were all rechargeable. I'll probably end up just using rechargeable AA's in them.

For the price, this set is tough to beat.
