I do like the stand a lot for what it is and the price is right, for me the drawbacks are the span of the legs is very narrow, so it doesn’t support the weight of holding the boom too much out to the side even when it’s directly over the legs. Also, the knob that tightens up the boom has to be extremely tight or the boom keeps creeping down, even with a small microphone like an SM 57 on it. The price was right as I said, but I think going with a traditional professional Mike Stan would’ve been a better option for me in the future

This is a great low-cost intermediate-sized highly adjustable stand. Not heavy duty or anything close to that, but excellent light duty stands to have around the studio or stage.

Just a great little stand for a mic. I have this setup for a shaker mic in a studio setup where I practice drums. The thing that make it nice is the fact that it is short enough to sit down and play but long enough to stand and play. The base is not to big so it’s easy to move it close without kicking it or tripping over it. The same qualities that make it a great studio stand would not be so great for an outdoor performance as the wind could be an issue. If you play outdoors very much you probably already have some small sand bags. In the studio I put it together, set it up and it stays setup and in the same room. I will be buying another soon for the Bongos
