From the manufacturer

Furiosa 01

As the world falls, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and ends up in the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel, presided over by Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

Furiosa 02

Furiosa 03

Furiosa 04

Anya Taylor-Joy is Furiosa

A highly skilled, incredibly observant young woman, Furiosa finds ways to make herself useful as a means of survival in the Wasteland. Disguised as a boy, she helps build the War Rig in the hope of surviving long enough to fulfill a promise made to her mother: to return home to the Green Place.

Chris Hemsworth is Dementus

An engaging warlord marauding across the Wasteland, laying siege to everything in his way, Dementus is a complicated and violent product of the harsh reality that is the Wasteland. He regularly uses violence to instill fear and exercise control within the ranks of the people. Both a showman and a sort of sage, Dementus commands a cult-like loyalty, and he rules with an iron fist.

Tom Burke is Praetorian Jack

Praetorian Jack is a skilled warrior and the driver of the War Rig, working in the service of Immortan Joe as a bodyguard. He is the one Furiosa’s absolutely forced, by circumstance, to collaborate with in her determination to return home.

Furiosa 05

Amazing movie - Awesome Steelbook design
This movie tells the story of Furiosa doing whatever it takes to survive in a world full of insane. It takes place just before Fury Road.I loved every second on this film. George Miller is an action movie legend. I give it a 10 out of 10. I still would place Fury Road above this movie and I still consider IT to be the greatest action movie of all time.Furiosa had some AMAZING action scenes and it had more story with more places to see in the scary wasteland. Chris Hemsworth was fantastic and fit right in the world.

Great, great, great and great. There hasn't been a popcorn action movie like this since the last Mad Max. The art design and the stunts are insane. It will take you a while to realize that you are looking a Chris Hemsworth. I think he gives an Oscar worthy performance as an demented Jim Morrison cult man
child dictator. He sways between sweet and sour with such fluidity that it's hypnotic to watch. I am not a fan girl either. I could take him or leave him in the past but dang he knocked this character out of then galaxy. I did not feel that Anya Taylor Joy had the same connection to the Furiosa character that you felt with Charlize Theron but she gets you there and it's a different story, so...just my opinion. With everything that's occurring it's hard to notice, unless you are looking for it. Apparently, I was looking for it. I still have questions about other characters and their backstory. But, its not that important, just dive in and let the spectacle that is Furiosa rain down on you like water from the Citidel. Please Make a third one with Max(Maybe at Barter town? Yes, I want a thunderdome and Masterblaster. Sorry, I was a teenager in the 80's ) Furiosa at the Citidel doing bad ass good for the Wasteland. Enjoy the show Amazonians

The world building in this movie is excellent! Fed to you in a way that quickly paints a backstory to every culture shown. It made post apocalyptic politics interesting and keeps the curiosity going. The action was almost as good as Fury Road. I feel they overused CGI to the point of missing the prior's high mark, but not to the point of distraction. Anya Taylor Joy made for the best girl boss they could have possibly had. I feel the creators should have went to a car or trackday event. They would have noticed that no single women go to the racetrack. The women on the racetrack are very few as well. It came off as very unrealistic that Furiosa would work anywhere, but the brothel vault. Really I wished this was Mad Max The Wasteland with Mad Max in it. Be it Tom Hardy or Mel Gibson. Now I am sure we will never get it or at least we will have another 5 fast and furious movies before another Mad Max. A shame because they built good foundations in Furiosa.

An unnecessary installment in the Mad Max series. Is one of the best prequels and almost the best Mad Max movie. Due to George Miller still being the master of the apocalypse.
Miller’s direction is fantastic. The film is visually captivating with some of the best exhilarating action I’ve ever seen.
It also might be the darkest Max film since the 1979 original. I actually didn’t know Charlize Theron wasn’t back as Furiosa until the film was coming out.
Anya Taylor-Joy does a wonderful bad ass job in the role never-less. There’s also strong supporting work by Chris Hemsworth and Tom Burke.
Some people who refuse to see the movie. Have used their psychic powers to call it another girl boss movie. This isn’t the Devil Wears Prada. It’s a bad ass apocalyptic revenge movie.

Unexpected. This Mad Max is structured quite differently than previous entries into the franchise. If Fury Road elevated the franchise to Lord of the Rings proportions then this brought it up to Ben Hur and Lawrence of Arabia level of awesomeness. It is described as the trailer says, an odyssey of the character we were introduced to in Fury Road (Mad Max 4) known as Furiosa. The world building in this is pretty fantastic. We are given sort of an itinerary to the state of the Aussie Wasteland since the fall of Bartertown in Mad Max 3. So…this is loosely Mad Max 3.5 even though it is the fifth installment. But the timeline all together is pretty loose and fluid as these are stories told orally by different narrators down through the generations after the apocalypse. As someone who has grown up with the Mad Max since seeing the first two films on cable, in the 80s, as a kid, and third film in theaters; it is jaw dropping to how this series has evolved in the 2000s. Side notes: This is probably Chris Hemsworth’s best role I’ve seen him in next to Bad Times at El Royale. He is the Wasteland Warlord Dementus. Also…if like me…you played the non-canon Mad Max 2015 video game, guess what. It is now canon. Scrotus and Chumbucket both appear in this entry. Max himself only makes a cameo. Furiosa is the star here similar to the previous entry. This may have flopped at the box office but I think it will simmer, smoke, and regain its losses on home media.

I felt they made a serious attempt at making a serious movie and succeeded. The cinematics of the wasteland desert are gorgeous and sweeping. The action scenes on the road are stellar, frenetic, and brutal. The characters are gritty, bizarre, and perfect for the genre. Really enjoyed watching this movie. Watched it twice and noticed new Easter eggs the second time. You just can't beat Dementus and Immorta Joe as villains, and Furiosa is truly The Infamous Furiosa. Loved every minute of this film. This is a solid and artful movie that stands on its own and pulls no punches.

Bad acting and script.

Have you watched Anya Taylor-Joy in "Queen's Gambit?" She was perfect in that. How do you fit a chess champion into the Australian dystopian wastelands that would be the haunts of Mad Max? Simple, you put a great actor in the role of Furiosa. Taylor-Joy plays a younger Furiosa (the older Furiosa was portrayed by Charlize Theron in "MadMax: Fury Road"). The excellent jobs by both Theron and Taylor-Joy make the implied transition seamless. The tragedy of young Furiosa's life and later revenge adds such depth to the character that you will cheer each moment of Furiosa's pure violence as acts of pure justice. Just my little opinion, though. See for yourself - if you are a fan of Mad Max, it's a must-see!

Every actor in this film did an amazing job, even the extras. But Chris Hemsworth really out did himself on this.

The movie was beautifully made for such a sadistic type of movie, that takes place in a dystopian future. I really appreciate this film, and being a long time fan of MadMax since I was young? I’m really glad I got to see it.
