I got the L-Link WiFi extender in order to connect a WiFi only camera equipped bird feeder to my network. Unfortunately, my main WiFi signal did not extend through the exterior brick walls and aluminum framed sunroom to the outdoors where my bird feeders are located. A main drawback is that this extender does not operate on the newer WiFi 6 Ghz frequency, which newer phones and devices are able to access. This was not an issue at this time, since the bird feeder only operates on the 2.4 Ghz frequency. I have just purchased a new router (from Amazon, of course) which will provide WiFi 6 bandwidth, but it is also backward compatible with the older WiFi technology, so I will still use this L-Link unit. The setup was easy and fast, and unlike many other WiFi enabled devices, L-Link did not require me to download an App. The setup was done through a temporary direct WiFi link to my phone, and the extender provides a strong enough signal to link the bird feeder to the network.

I got this to extent my wifi signal in an old building. The walls are thick and concrete. This extender works very well under these conditions. The setup was a little challenging but only took about 5 mins. It comes in at a really good price and it just works. It allows a mesh setup, AP or just an extender. I am pleased.

Setup sounds easier than what it was. The location of the unit is very important for initial setup and for use. After getting eveeything working we found the real problem in the coverage. The verizon router when set to 5g would start at 2.4 first not 5. Took that option away and the signal was much better.
