After researching ethernet cable download and upload speed (I didn't know it varied based on cable category) I decided to upgrade from my generic grade ethernet cable (you know, the simple, flat, grey type). I think it's a cat 6 but, I'm not sure as there is no number printed on the cable. After receiving and hooking up, I did several internet speed tests. Oddly, my old, generic cable delivered faster up/down speeds. So, I'm disappointed.

On the plus side, the cable is designed well. I like the flexibility and sturdiness of the design.
