These cables are solid and well built, sturdy but still flexible. I'm using them for hifi interconnects. I ordered 3 different brands in what I would consider "cost effective but not junk" range. I often go with the Amazon basics because they are what they say they are. In this case the amazon basics were too soft and flexible so I was worried about damage. The Vandesail had a better more descriptive add wich included wire size and materials also they have additional dielectric and braid for durability. I will definitely be buying more.

I am glad I purchased these cables. The build quality is good. As you see in the pictures, I could use RCA cables from the AV10 to the AMP10 but having all the speaker wires intertwined with the cables, I needed shielded XLR cables for the best sound. And they deliver! I have a set of Revel f228be front speakers, and with these cables, I hear no buzzing or electrical noise. That is because the cables do an excellent job of canceling the interference from the speaker cables. That is the job of XLR. I originally bought seven. 2-packs and I just had to order three more 2-packs today. I should have just bought ten the first time. I thought 14 cables would be enough, but NOPE, I need five more because I used two of the three remaining to hook the CD player to the analog inputs on the AV10. But back to the review, the cables clicked into the AV10 with ease, and there is no play in the connectors. The bottom line is that if you need XLR cables, these are the ones to get in this price range. My only complaint is that I wish they made 1.5-foot cables.
