For midweek dawn patrols, all-night approaches, or just big climbing objectives that push beyond daylight, the Black Diamond Spot 350 has 350 lumens of power, now housed in a smaller, more efficient design. With a new, compact body, the Spot 350 has been redesigned with a lower profile for better balance and is more ergonomic for added comfort.

We have also updated the user interface by adding a second switch for easy lens mode selection. In addition, the updated optical efficiency not only provides brighter light with more peak intensity, but also saves battery life that you can now easily track with a six-setting, three-LED battery meter. The Spot 350 also offers peripheral lighting for close-range activities like sorting gear, cooking, or reading in camp and it sports an IPX8 waterproof housing. The Brightness Memory feature allows you to turn the light on and off at a chosen brightness without reverting back to a default setting.

The battery contacts and battery compartment are not robust enough to work with the mildly flawed Duracell batteries which came with my lamp.The battery contacts are short and barely pressed onto the batteries I was provided. A piece of plastic in the compartment makes this problem worse. See picIf the battery contacts were long and springy, I think I would be very happy with this lamp. But I don’t want to risk anything.

This is simply a great lamp. It's ultra bright and the batteries last for hours. The touch toggle feature is also very handy. I used this all camping season this summer and did not need to change the batteries. The strap is also very quick and easy to adjust and comfortable. I have been using a Black Diamond Storm 160 on a daily basis for the last 7+ years. I take my Husky for a nightly walk of 30-45 min. I also used it for camping, ice fishing, and during a couple power outages. A real work horse. The on/off switch failed. Did some research and decided that the Spot 350 met my needs. It is brighter, weighs a lot less and the controls are simple and easy to use right out of the box. I like the feature where I don’t have to constantly adjust brightness when I turn it on. The battery meter is nice too but I got used to changing the batteries when the lamp became dim. If it lasts for 1/2 the time of my last headlamp it will be great.

I no longer fear running out of power, especially when I use the red light. The wide beam is helpful when navigating wide areas or dangerous terrain. I have tested the headlamp in florida in a torrential downpour and the unit passed with flying colors. Like I said earlier, do not hesitate. While this unit is more expensive than others, when it comes to your safety it is best to go with something reliable and I stand behind this headlamp!

I wanted a new headlamp for deer season. I was particularly interested in a lamp where I could adjust the brightness for early morning when getting set up in the blind. Also, I found the lamp really useful back at camp while skinning deer at night. By being able to adjust the brightness I was able to work in close vicinity to others without blinding them.

Han solventado problemas de otros modelos anteriores como el bloqueo y este no se enciende por desbloqueo accidental como si ocurría en el modelo anterior que además era más caro. Tiene un chorro de luz impresionante bastante homogéneo, bastante blanco y además dimable perfecto para regular la potencia en el punto que desees. ero gia in possesso del modello prima di questa pila ed è ancora fuinzionante e va sempre bene. Ho voluto prendere il modello nuovo perche più leggero.. e mi trovo benissimo, durata maggiore al confronto di quella vecchia che mi durava pressapoco più di 70 ore, questa ne dura pressapico più di 90.

This isn't the first or even the second head torch I've had. I bought a fairly decent one for use on the Camino de Santiago which came well recommended, but six years later things have moved on and this is far better light, longer battery life and much lighter. This was recommended as a good buy in one of the monthly hiking mags and other reviews here have highlighted it as a good buy. I'd agree with them.
