It has been authorized only for the detection of proteins from SARS-CoV-2, not for any other viruses or pathogens, and is only authorized for the duration of the declaration that circumstances exist justifying the authorization of emergency use of in vitro diagnostics for detection and/or diagnosis of COVID-19 under Section 564(b) (1) of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, 21 U.S.C. § 360bbb-3(b)(1), unless the declaration is terminated, or authorization is revoked sooner.

Well, no one ever really wants covid....unless you've got an internal audit at work that week!!!Because of this wonderful product, I was able to legitimately excuse myself from all the "Hmmm...I'll look into this issue", "I was told by management that we're no longer using that matrix" or "Let's stay ready, so we don't have to get ready," comments!! It was GREAT!!! Luckiest thing to happen to me in a long time!!! Thanks for making such a great & accurate test!!!

Tho the contents looked tacky (and tiny!) it turned out to be quite easy to use the kit and I have reason to believe results of both tests ( first was neg, second was +) were valid. My wife and 2 friend had prolonged close exposure to a couple who were both floridly ill and sat next to them on a bus ride. 4 days later my wife had abrupt onset of cough and congestion and tested positive (with a different test) - one of her 2 friends emailed to tell us that she experienced almost exactly the same , also positive on a rapid test. 3 days after my wife’s onset, I became ill ( we live in a small condo) and tested neg with the Binax kit - the next day I was sicker and 2nd test was unequivocally positive. Both of us recovered ( taking Paxlovid) and had no reason to take a convalescent test. None of this proves the validity of my test results, but it all makes sense epidemiologically. If unfortunate enough to need another test in the future, I would feel confident using this kit again.

the card-and-stick method is slightly better than the drops-in-a-box method, I think. No test involving a nasal swab is pleasant, even if you do only need to stick that stick up there less than an inch. The only way to get a 5 star test kit would be a no-contact method, and that's not biologically plausible. So, four stars for being accurate, effective, and somewhat easier to handle than the alternative.

These are hands-down the best rapid test in my opinion. No fiddling with tiny vials of fluids or mixing, swirling, and squeezing solutions onto test cards, just swab, put the saline drops in the card, pop in the sample, twist a couple times, then close it and wait for results. My only complaint is that they could be a bit more affordable.

Easy instructions with graphics to aid in a good result. In other comparable tests you should blow your nose to ensure you don’t saturate the swab with too much fluid which floods the test. The Binex test has you compressing the swab to remove excess fluid creating a much more clear result.
