Shockingly, when Sophie arrives at the atelier, she meets a young alchemy enthusiast named Plachta, and even though the alchemist shares the same name as her friend, she doesn't recognize Sophie. What other surprises await Sophie on this journey? As the adventure continues, Sophie meets aspiring alchemist, Ramizel Erlenmeyer, who willingly agrees to help her in her time of need. I have played every Atelier game and this one ranks the highest. The game play and story are well balanced. In the past there were issues equally leveling alchemy and strength. This Atelier allowed free flow with side story alchemy and story line. Keep it up!
I’ve been a fan of the Atelier series starting with the Arland trilogy on PS3, and I loved the Dusk series…it still stands as my personal favorite. I was not a huge fan of the Mysterious trilogy and was really happy with Ryza 1 and 2. I was hesitant to buy this since Mysterious really wasn’t my cup of tea, but I am happy that I did. Graphically and exploration wise it reminds me more of Ryza, while the combat system is a lot like the Dusk trilogy. I actually enjoyed the story quite a bit even though I did not feel that I would. As a fan I’m always happy to be surprised when a game exceeds my expectations and this one definitely did.
This is a very family friendly game where revolving around crafting items using alchemy. The music is incredible, the characters are lovable, and the world is rich for exploration. This is not a particularly difficult game so if you are looking for that go elsewhere. This game is for someone looking to relax with some good vibes and take it easy in a cute and fun story
