University Press returns with another short and captivating biography of one of history’s most compelling figures, Anthony Fauci.

Anthony Fauci is one of the world’s most-cited, most-respected, and most-recognized scientists of the 20th and 21st centuries. He has served as an American public health official for more than 50 years and as an advisor to every U.S. president since Ronald Reagan. As a physician at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), he has led successful efforts to confront many of the world’s most deadly diseases, including HIV/AIDS, SARS, Swine Flu, Ebola, and COVID-19.

Anthony Stephen Fauci was born to Stephen and Eugenia Fauci on December 24, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up in an Italian Catholic home, delivered prescriptions for his father’s pharmacy, captained his high school basketball team, graduated first in his class at Cornell University’s Medical College, joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH), got married, had three daughters, won the Presidential Medal of Freedom, became a household name, and currently serves as the Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden.

This short book tells the intensely human story of a man who is changing the world in a way that no one else can.

I learned a lot about the management of viral outbreaks... how they are recognized, and how they are handled the face of political manipulation. It seems like Fauci endeavors to get along with everyone, (and mostly succeeds) no matter how irrational the attacks on him.

I spent a year at NIH. Good people everywhere. I hope we don't find the science steered by political appointees in the coming years.

I liked learning about his life because I like his style very much. However, I would have enjoyed a deeper characterization.

I am a Fauci supporter, so this review gets only 4 stars because it is poorly written, with several spelling and grammatical errors. It's almost as if this were written by a middle school student. Where is the editor that allowed " somewhere" instead of "somewhat"?

It is not a comprehensive biography by any means, but scratches the surface. One portion goes into great detail about the origins and evolution of the organization(s) Fauci belongs to. If one wants a deeper dive into his life, I recommend the National Geographic documentary that is referred to in this book.

Read this. I couldn't stomach more than a few chapters of this exposé of "America's 'Doctor.'"
Made me want to throw up.

This just so happens to skip over all the controversial things that should be at least defended by this man. Simply propaganda to distract from the true story. No better than the pathetic Disney movie they came out with which is more is the same fluffy lies and propaganda. “The Real Anthony Fauci” does a better job at giving a clear picture to who this man is.

This was an quick and interesting read on one of the world’s most notable characters, a physician, scientist, and virus hunter.

You can tell from reading that the author is a university student. The text, content, and style was good and shows promise. The salient points of the book give a decent glimpse into the making of Dr. Fauci.

This "biography" is a hasty rush at damage control, in a feeble attempt to salvage a criminal bureaucrat's legacy before it's too late.

No thanks.

Hard pass.

We're catching on to the establishment narratives, and we're sick and tired of your propaganda.

Order The Real Anthony Fauci, instead. Available here in Amazon or in local book retailers, such as Barnes and Noble.
