I own 4 of these and I always wait for them to go on sale. If you catch it at the right time you can buy them for around $35 which is a bargain. They are easy to build, but once you fill them with soil be careful when you move them because the legs can bend easily. I wouldn't pay full price for this, but I will buy again when I see them on sale.

It pains me to write this because we loved the look of these. We bought 2 rectangular and 1 square in 2021 and loved them through the summer. They were difficult to assemble, and we had to saw a piece off to make one side fit. The wood is fine, cheap, but the problem is the way the pre-assembled parts are put together. They use cheap and short pin-like nails to secure the ledges that hold the bottom of the planter up so that they inevitably pull away after a short time. We have the bottom of one propped up on bricks right now.

We had to replace one of the rectangular planters this year and it didn’t last the season. We literally assemble, place, fill with dirt and flowers, and don’t touch them apart from watering. Even never being moved around, they still fell apart.

Don’t waste your money. Unless you can find a way to reinforce the bottom, you’ll be disappointed. We tried a few things but the wood is so cheap regular nails and screws destroyed it when we tried to replace them.

Decent product but cheaply made

Like most things manufactured today, these planters are made as cheaply as possible. The wood is of good quality but held together with finish nails, which won't last more than one summer, as many reviewers found out the hard way. The only thing fastened properly are the slats that hold the bottom in place.

So I took it upon myself to make this extra sturdy. As you can see I made extra support boards for each section, 7 in total. These boards were glued and screws into place then the extra bit of screw poking out was ground down. Next I added two layers of wood stain. Then I drilled into the metal stands to add 3 extra screws to hold the corners in place. Finally I drilled and screwed 4 more screws though the side, into the support slats underneath to fortify the bottom. Last but not least I added caster wheels as one reviewer recommended.

All and all, these upgraded planters should last a long time and worth the effort and extra few hours to perform. Hope these helps those who wish to keep these for more then a couple of summers.

The box was tremendously easy to assemble (I did it alone in about half an hour). I know some reviews said that things had to be pre-drilled or were done incorrectly, but I had no issue with screwing right into the wood so you definitely don't need a drill to do this. One of my wood pieces had a small crack in it upon opening the box which got worse once the screws went in, but Amazon replaced it and it was easy to swap out. Definitely recommend this cute box if you're looking for a decent sized garden planter - this one happily fits two cherry tomato plants.

Overall, this planter isn’t terrible. You need to assemble it, which was pretty straightforward. It’s fairly small, but worked for what we needed it for.

However, it’s not worth the price. I paid ~$70 for it a couple months back and at the time felt I was paying too much. The wood is pretty cheap and not uniform (which was fine since it’s advertised as recycled wood). I don’t anticipate this lasting very long, so the fact they bumped up the price to $116 is outrageous. I was looking to purchase another as I wanted to have one on either side of my sliding door to be symmetrical, but after seeing the price I will be going with something else. If it goes back down in price, I say it is possibly worth purchasing, but at this price, absolutely not.
