Updated. Ended up returning the controller as It persistently disconnected while playing and needed a full reset before you could reconnect. Really frustrating experience. Battery life was also terrible and could run out in a single gaming session. Assuming it would stay connected long enough that is. Going to go back to my £40 basic controller that gives me no issues and the battery lasts for days.

Have to admit I have been looking at this xbox controller for sometime. When it came up £40 off and on a 5 month payment plan I jumped at it.
Having received it, it is a bit meh to be honest.
My biggest gripe is the software. The iOS app is totally pointless in terms of functionality. All you can do is adjust the brightness, thats pretty much it.
The xbox app is over complicated and doesn't seem to sync any settings down to the controller. For instance, I changed the color in the Xbox app, but the controller refuses to change. Only way I have managed to change the color is directly via the controller menu. Not the end of the world but for £140 you'd expect things to work. Never seemed to get any social media messages to the screen which made that feature pretty useless too.
Compared to my £40 basic xbox controller it feels lighter. Not sure if that is a good thing yet, but the build quality does feel cheaper.
