The hardware looks and feels great but the software is not so good. If you were thinking about buying this to replace your original atari 2600 then think again because a lot of games have visual and audible glitches and issues with this new device, that's even if they load at all, so you really need to keep your old atari hooked up just in case. Load times from turning on the device are over ten seconds which seems crazy when you're used to instant on. No sd card slot to play roms or Harmony card support. The beta firmware upgrade procedure also seems a very convoluted process, not easy for the computer layman and it looks like it might possibly be for Windows 10 and above only (not totally sure) but that would also be crazy considering I just want to update a replica of a forty year old console using Windows 8.1, no firmware updates via mac either. Seems like they spent all their time on the looks of the console instead of how it actually performs. Ultimately this new device does less than the original console.
