Community Control Over Police Surveillance (CCOPS) Model Bill

An act to promote transparency, the public’s welfare, civil rights, and civil liberties in all decisions regarding the funding, acquisition, and deployment of surveillance equipment by local police departments.

To add components to the CCOPS model bill to ban the government use of facial recognition and/or to apply CCOPS transparency and approval mechanisms to the local acquisition of military equipment, please review these instructions.
