Wrong checkmark behaviour in Updates

The usual behaviour in all list views (posts, pages, …) is: set a checkmark for a single item with a click at the single item, set a checkmark for all listed items with a click on the checkmark-box in the headline above all items or below in the footer.

Since a short time (WP 6.5 ?) in the Updates list, a click at a single Plugin set also the checkmarks in the head and footer of the list. (But without the usual meaning – mark all items.)

To get all items afterwards, you have to click twice in head or footer: 1. unselect all items, 2. select all items

This whole behaviour is inconsistent, confusing and – in regular WP standards – simply wrong.

And even this bug is not dramatic, a correction would be nice.
