When I wrap an area (block) with a visibility condition, the content doesn’t show up at all in a translated version of the page even though the condition is met. It works fine in the original version and when I remove the condition in the translated version. Is this plugin compatible with WPML?

    Hi @kozmicblues,

Thanks for reaching out. Block Visibility has not been explicitly tested with WPML and unfortunately I have never used that plugin myself.

Based on what you shared, it seems like WPML replaces the content with the translated version, which might break the block attributes added by Block Visibility. I do find that surprising, because this could have ramifications for any other plugin that adds custom attributes to blocks. Block Visibility really isn’t doing anything too novel.

I wonder if their support could provide a reason or further guidance 🤔 If you hear anything, please do let me know. If there are reasonable changes I can make to improve compatibility, I’m happy to do so.

    Best,
    Nick

We resolved this by duplicating the pattern in each language and then selecting the translated categories which the visibility block needed re entered for each language.
