It’s hard to say why – but it probably has something to do with it not following the plugin-guidelines.
The developers will recieve a notification with some details about what’s wrong – and probably a chance to fix the issue.
But this is only a guess.

Keep in mind that the guidelines are quite broad. A temporary closure can be anything from an unfixed security vulnerability to a bounced email.
As mentioned, when/if it becomes a permanent closure, the reason will be displayed.
If it’s enough of a concern before then though, it’s always a good opportunity to at least research alternatives.
