User data disappearing from WordPress database

I asked this on the Main WP forum, was told to ask here as well.

Several months ago, we lost the data on several customers from our WordPress database. We restored the data from a backup and everything seemed fine. Near the end of November, we checked again to discover that roughly 30 users were missing. The only common thread between them that we can see is that every user that was deleted was given the WooCommerce ‘Customer’ role, but not every ‘Customer’ was deleted either, so I can’t say for certain if that’s part of the problem. We restored the missing data from a backup again and have been monitoring the data daily.

In the past two weeks, we’ve lost 3 users, first a single user, then two more a few days later. Is this any issue anyone has encountered before?
