• I have standard WP settings thumbnails this sizes 150×150, 300×300, 1024×1024
    But after regeneration I see each image has 100×100, 150×150, 300×300, 30×30, 570×760, 60×60, 750×750, 768×768
when I check my home page it asks lot of images to be resized to 269×358 and 269×269 this seem to be images from best sellers section and trending section of the theme, that are not recognized as required thumbnails for some reason.

I have installed plugin Webcraftic Clearfy with additional Webcraftic Robin image optimizer
when you go to the image optimiser main settings below you can see all the thumbnails including the sizes required by different plugins on the site, however, 269×358 and 269×269 are not presented there, so I think there is some issue that thambnails that are required by the theme blocks are not recorded in the system, so Regenerate Thumbnails plugin same is this plugin just don’t know about that required sizes.

But Equially if you look at all thumbnails on the system there are some for example required by certain plugins as YITH WooCommerce Brands Add-on but 0x30 and 0x60 but this thumbnails are only required for images used as brands logo, so when I do regenerate thumbnails ALL my product images are added with this thumbnail sizes which are not required since it is not images of the brand but only of the product.
Could you please have a look at it and fix as I have a lot of images on Woocommerce and this creates huge number of unnecessary thimbnails.

Would be great option to choose what king of thumbnails I need to regenerate as in the above example I need to exclude those required for YITH WooCommerce Brands Add-on for buth regeneration, and maybe use it just for one folder with brands logos in it only

    Many thanks

    your Version 3.1.0
Re-enable the ability to delete old, unregistered thumbnail files. It was temporarily disabled until I was more confident in the separate update post functionality but fixing that is turning out to be rather complicated.

Where can I see this feature, or did you not uploaded v 3.1.0 yet?

    thanks

    @viper007bond

It would be great to add ability to choose which thumbnails should be regenerated. I will be grateful.

I have recipe site with lot of images per post but only one featured should have all registered sizes, other not neccesary.

I use https://ru.wordpress.org/plugins/optimize-images-resizing/ to generate sizes only on demand. It helps me to keep free space on server ssd.
But when I need to regenerate not featured images, I have to manually remove unnecesary sizes.

    Thank you in advance!

Allowing you to choose what sizes to generate has been on my todo list for a while, but I just haven’t had the time to code up the feature as it’s slightly complicated. It requires a picker, passing the list to regenerate endpoint, temporarily filtering the list of registered sizes to only include the sizes you want, merging the meta data back together, etc.

I’ll get to it at some point. Sorry.
