Unable to update colors

I’d like to customize the colors for my Crio WordPress template. I’m following the instructions here: https://www.boldgrid.com/support/boldgrid-crio-supertheme-product-guide/customizing-the-color-palette/. I am able to change the colors in the palette, save a palette, rearrange the order of the colors, and preview the changes. However, if I try to save it as a draft or publish it, I receive and error: “Looks like something’s gone wrong. Wait a couple seconds, and then try again.”
I have tried this numerous times over several days with the same result. I am able to make other updates to the site and save or publish those, just not the colors.

@vpenhune I had to contact support at bluehost. They had to make a change on their side to allow it. From the response I received from them:
“there was a mod_security rule on the link https://[myURL]/wp-admin/customize.php . I have whitelisted the rule.”
