I get the following issues on LANDING PAGES only when Yoast SEO is activated:

Warning: Undefined property: WP_Error::$taxonomy in /home/customer/www/funnelmatix.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/presentations/indexable-term-archive-presentation.php on line 188

Warning: Attempt to read property “taxonomy” on null in /home/customer/www/funnelmatix.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/helpers/current-page-helper.php on line 488

Warning: Undefined property: WP_Error::$taxonomy in /home/customer/www/funnelmatix.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/presentations/indexable-term-archive-presentation.php on line 163

Warning: Undefined property: WP_Error::$taxonomy in /home/customer/www/funnelmatix.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/presentations/indexable-term-archive-presentation.php on line 222

    Steps to reproduce

    1. Create any landing page in Elementor
    2. Activate Yoast SEO
    3. Open landing page (logged in or public doesn’t matter)
    4. Taxanomy issues showing on top of the content

It doesn’t matter if I use the latest version of PHP, or one of the previous ones. I can deactivate all other plugins, and it’s only showing when Yoast is activated. I have also tested it on a standard theme like twenty twenty two and the Elementor Hello theme. I cannot get rid of this error, aside from deactivating Yoast SEO which I hope is only a very temporary solution.

Hi Suwash, thanks for the reply! Is there any way to know which priority your team assigned to this issue?

As I have it on different, totally unrelated websites, I assume that I am not the only one with this issue as Elementor and Yoast are both widely used together. Elementor landing pages are an integral part of our page strategy, and right now we’ve all deactivated Yoast to be able to continue using the landing pages. That’s not in our interest, and certainly neither in yours.

I don’t know what other issues your team is currently working on, but it seems to be an issue important enough to try solving that within a short time frame.

    Best regards,
    Konstantin

Suwash, I am really confused by this issue. I have created a staging site (using SiteGround), and on the staging site, the issue does not exist. I then went ahead and deployed this staging, thinking that this might resolve this issue, but on the live site, it still has the same issue. I don’t know if this information helps in any way…

Hi @funnelmatix , we are investigating and we may have found why it happens in certain conditions. Can you tell us which is the permalink structure in the sites you are experiencing the issue?

    (@funnelmatix)

Hi @lopo , thank you for following up here. The permalink structure is set to /%category%/%postname%/. Again, the issue only exists for pages built under landing pages, and only if an SEO plugin like Yoast or Rank Math are activated.

I’d really appreciate it if this got solved; I have rebuilt a lot of LPs under pages, but that’s not a good solution 🙂

    Hey @funnelmatix,

Thank you for your continued patience.

Our developers have thoroughly investigated this bug and concluded that the issue is with the current implementation of the landing pages feature of Elementor. A complete explanation can be found here. Please know that the Elementor team is aware of the issue.
