    Hello. My default avatar works fine on the comments list, but when leaving a new comment, it’s still looking to Gravatar (and gets a broken image) for Mystery Man:

    <img src="https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/ad516503a11cd5ca435acc9bb6523536?s=100&amp;r=pg&amp;d=mm" width="100" height="100">

    Please see screenshot here to explain. Default avatar is set like this.

    I also get the following console errors to wp.com:

    simple_local_avatar:1          GET https://i2.wp.com/simple_local_avatar 400

    Your help would be greatly appreciated, as I really like the plugin and would love to get it working perfectly.

    Update:

    Turning off “Let visitors use a WordPress.com, Twitter, or Facebook account to comment” in Jetpack fixes all of the above issues.

    It’s a solution for the moment, but now the comment form looks like this and is a lot larger and more intrusive than it was. I liked the expanding function on the Jetpack version. Oh well!
