    Hi,

this problem exists for long time ( maybe 1.5+ years? ). I was ignoring it because it dissapears after the plugin is disabled.

    What is happening:

During theme/plugin development i visit a lot of pages. After some time chrome ends in “endless” loop and says that hes “waiting for available socket”. After some time ( few minutes ) the problem dissapears.

    Setup:

    • multiple sites with multiple themes ( some build on Roots Bedrock/Sage and some just classic wp )
    • windows machine with Laragon apache or linux with Docker nginx
    • various PHP versions 7+ and 8+
    • enabled WP migrate = endless loop after some time
    • disabled WP migrate = everything ok
    • Commonly used plugins on that websites: Yoast SEO, WP Total Cache/Fastest Cache,

I am currently using latest version, so its not version problem ( and as i said it is really old problem which i was ignored before ).

If you will be having time to fix this, I will be really happy man, because i need to disable this plugin after every use.

    Thanks

Hi, thank you for your feedback. Does this error only happen when navigating to a specific page in WP Admin such as a WP Migrate settings page? Is there anything in your error logs that could give us more information?

    Hi, thanks for your time.

I don’t think that it is linked to any specific page, but i think that it is locked to the fact, that you are logged in as admin.

If i will end up in endless loop, openning inckognito window or changing browser to firefox helps.

Sadly theres nothing in any log.

Sorry for no more information 🙂 ¯_(ツ)_/¯ .. If you cant find anything, just skip it and i will keep disabling it. Maybe i will get more time in future to investigate it more.

Okay, another place you could check is in Chrome DevTools:

    • Check the Console tab for any errors that may have preceded the endless loop error.
    • Check the Network tab to see if there are any requests being made by WP Migrate that could provide more info. Note that the Network tab would need to be open before encountering the endless loop error in order to see the requests.

We haven’t seen other reports of this, so I’m going to resolve this thread for now. Feel free to follow up if you learn more about what’s going on.
