hello, i’m personalizing the linked wordpress website, and i added social media links to the header section. Anyways, they don’t show for no reason.
I’m using a Child-Theme created by cloning Sydney’s header.php and footer.php, just not to lose the Gtag in case of Sydney’s updates. the rest is pretty much vanilla.

Social media buttons are not the only problem, as the menu layout doesn’t change when i apply different settings.

I used the same strategy on another website i admin (http://www.amicomics.com), but everything works just fine in that.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @mirkob82,

Upon checking both your sites. They have different header layout.

I am wondering making them have same header layout would fix social icons visibility issue. Have you tried so?

hello, in what sense? i tried to “play” on settings. but after that i could not set it in the same way of the other website. I tried changing any header setting but it didn’t work. Not even anything changes from this layout, actually.

    How can i fix it?

    Hi @mirkob82,

Your child theme’s header.php file may be outdated. To verify this, try disabling child theme and enabling Sydney.

If you’d like to load the entire features of latest Sydney’s header in child theme, you would need to replicate main Sydney’s header.php (latest version) file to your child theme.

it worked: maybe something was lost in translation between child theme (old sydney) and calls to father theme (new sydney). now it works perfectly.

    thank you very much!
