slideshow works in english version but not in chinese version

    hi, I found your theme very good to use and I love it a lot. I am making an english site (https://aslandesign.ca/immanuel/) and a chinese site of a comic book. Both using the same theme with everything the same except the language. however, in the english site, the homepage slideshow is OK but the chinese homepage has no slideshow at all. I remember when installing the chinese WordPress, there was a message that mentioned about the php not the same.
