Hello there, i’ve update my website to the last version of WooCommerce and enable HPOS.

Since that is see some missings things like the old “WooCommerce” > “Repport” is now empty (since the activation of HPOS).

But an other, more important, issue is that the screen order options on the order edit page are not saved. The position of all items are reset and the checkbox are reset too.

This issue appear to all my 6 differents woocommerce website using HPOS

Thanks for reaching out!

It looks like enabling HPOS has caused some functionality to stop working as expected on your site, correct?

This is not something I am able to reproduce on my test site with the latest version of WooCommerce core and HPOS enabled, as the WooCommerce → Reports page has the correct data available, and changes made to the screen options on the Order edit page work as expected.

Are you using any plugins that add/change functionality to the Order edit page? Also, can you please share a screenshot of the WooCommerce → Reports page so that we can have a better understanding of what you are seeing on your end?

If you do not already have a screenshot tool installed, Snipboard.io can be used for easily sharing screenshots.

Lastly, I’d like to have a better understanding of your sites current environment, please can you share the following:

System Status Report: navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Download for Support. This will download a TXT file that has the contents of the SSR which you can then share with us here.
Fatal Error log: found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.
Console errors: Please share any errors you may identify when inspecting the console on both pages experiencing the issue.

Are you using any plugins that add/change functionality to the Order edit page?

Yes, many Yith plugins and others

BUT i make some tests on my stagging website today and i found something very interresting !
First i disable all plugins, still activated : WooCommerce and Query Monitor.

By activating HPOS the orders sorter and hide/display not working BUT if i disable HPOS that will work !!!

As you can see, there is some error on the console when i try to move items ore hide/display then. i think this is the problem.

And this error apear to all my woocommerce website who used HPOS when i try to move or hidde/display an item !

(and sometime this error : Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 () /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php:1 )

This is the header informations about the 403 error when we use HPOS and try to move items on the order edit page.

Thank you for the detailed explanation!

The team has been aware of this issue for a while. It should be fixed in version 8.4.0, however, we don’t have a specific estimate of when it will be released.

As a workaround, you can keep compatibility mode activated and use the legacy wp_posts table until the update is released.
