Published page disappeared, photos disappeared from Media library, but in folder

    I been slowly working on a new page, adding content little by little. I published the page and it was up and running as expected. Page was up for about a 4 days. Today the page is gone, disappeared from the page section, not in trash either. All the images used by this page also disappeared from the media library. I SSH into my server and I can see all of the photos still there, ~/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/ however I couldn’t determine if the page still in there. Used phpMyAdmin plugging but could find anything close to a page.

    I tried accessing the page using different devices without luck. I’m using these plugins: disable right click for wp, file manager advanced, photo gallery, wp phpMyAdmin and Yoast SEO

    If the page you linked to in this topic is the one that had disappeared, it did not disappear, it looks just fine when I checked. Unless you’ve already replaced it since posting this topic.

    Unless someone explicitly removed a page and emptied trash as well, there ought to be some evidence that the page exists in the wp_posts table. Even if the page somehow was removed, there should still be revisions remaining as evidence. You should be able to find revisions in phpMyAdmin by using the search tab for the wp_posts table.

    It’s extremely unlikely a page would disappear on its own. Someone or some code would have had to remove it. If you’re sure you didn’t, does anyone else have access with delete_posts capability? It’s possible your site was hacked and a hacker is responsible, but removing a page is a very unusual thing for a hacker to do. More often they add undesired content like pharma spam, they don’t typically remove a particular page.
