Tried to enable the proxy and got this error:

Plausible’s proxy couldn’t be enabled, because the WordPress API is inaccessable. This might be due to a conflicting setting in a (security) plugin or server firewall. Make sure you whitelist requests to the Proxy’s endpoint: /wp-json/{redacted}Contact support if you need help locating the issue.

I installed this plugin to display and control all the endpoints but I’m not seeing anything there related to the endpoint in that error or anything related to Plausible.

I don’t currently have a security plugin installed except Limit Login Attempts. Are you aware of conflicts with that plugin or others potentially?

    Thanks for your help!

I do have Cloudflare actually. But I have Cloudflare + Solid Security + Limit Login Attempts on my personal blog and it doesn’t have this same error. So I’m really stumped.

    hi Matt!

sorry for the trouble! does this happen on all your sites or only on some? what’s the difference between the setup on sites where it works and where it doesn’t?

in most cases where proxy cannot be created, it’s due to permissions missing. we have a list of the most common things to look at here: https://plausible.io/wordpress-analytics-plugin#stats-not-being-recorded-after-enabling-the-proxy

and if everything from the list looks fine to you, then please disable and then enable the proxy once again after which you should clear all caches both within your WP dashboard, your host and Cloudflare itself.

could you please check if this list helps you troubleshoot where the issue may be?
